Lineup of SenCity Australia announced

The final line-up for the multi-sensory, inclusive event, SenCity Australia, was announced today. Along with many fine artists offering something fresh and exciting to the event, SenCity will also be hosting the performance of the first ever deaf person to sign a record deal with a major international label. Finland rapper Signmark released his first sign lanuage hip-hop DVD in 2006. The album ‘Signmark’ takes a stand for equalirt and aims to bring people together. The debut broke prejudices and awakened people.
The event will be held at Home Nightclub, Darling Harbour on the 27th of August 2010 from 10pm until 5am. Internationally renowned SenCity is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, catering to people with hearing impairment, people who are deaf and any other person that has any disability or ability through a range of techniques. These include fragrance jockeys, food jockeys, visual jockeys, a vibrating dance floor, sign singers and a chill space (offering hairdressers, masseurs and much more).

IDEAS NSW is happy to be supporting the premier of the amazing and spectacular Sencity in Australia. The wonderous all-senses event will take place on the 27th of August at Home Nightclub, Darling Harbour in Sydney.
Sencity is a multi-sensory, multi-faceted, special event for people who are hearing impaired or deaf and people with any other ability or disability. During this spectacular event the emotions and passions of music are converted to all senses. Special techniques employed at the event include an imported vibrating dance floor, so that people can really feel the music. The vibrating dance sensors are attached to the amplifiers so that the entire dance floor responds to the frequency of the music. Sign singers interpret lyrics. Visual Jockeys, Food Jockeys and Aroma Jockeys are on hand to provide aroma compositions to interpret music for other senses. The chill space has side performances to engage other senses, such as hairdressers, makeup artists and masseurs.
